Hi Peeps,

Looking into DIY BS hatchery. Can you please forward any links with plans (proven, effective designs) to do so?

Thanks!

Take a 2-litre bottle, cut the bottom off. Keep the cap on. Fill with one litre of brine solution and eggs and drop it on your aquarium, the top sides should stay above the waterline, use the cut-off base as a lid to stop salt spray going everywhere. put a large round airstone driven by a pump in the bottom of the bottle to keep eggs in suspension... I put an airline valve through the lid of another large bottle with its base cut off. when I want to harvest I pour the water over into it, give it some time to settle, then turn open the valve until just before you start draining the floating eggshells., pour al of that through a coffee filter, and then you could rinse if you felt like it, or just dunk the filters like I do. excess BBS can be kept in the fridge for a day or 2 in their brine water.
