About to start building another canopy... It will have 8 bulbs, some fans, some night lights, etc. Two ballasts for the fans will be mounted externally.

So there will be 12 wires going to the two ballasts, one pair of wires to cooling fans, and one pair of wires to the night light. Could be some more.

My question... is there anything out there that would allow me to easily disconnect the whole mess in case I want to pull out the canopy? I am especially concerned about the ballast wires, they probably need some degree of insulation to prevent bad things from happening.

Try an automotive style wiring harness.
I looked some of them, but they are made for 12V, and I am not sure it would be safe to use them for line voltage and higher (instant start ballasts). Plus stupid expensive. :icon_wink

this one and this one for the ballasts.

Add this one and this one for the others, and you'll have a few spare positions
You are my hero. Thanks, just what I was looking for. :proud:

The 12x connector for the ballasts will probably be enough. For the others I can disconnect the cable from the outlet.
