Dirting another tank!

So I was going to wait to dirt my 55 gallon low tech tank until I had some black gravel (for aesthetic purposes), but since I have to move it now, I'm just going to use the fluorite that is already in the tank as the cap. Photo's will come later, when I'm finished getting the tank out of my bedroom, into the basement, and set back up again :p. I'll be using Miracle Grow Organic Choice potting mix, and red un-fired clay capped with sea-chem fluorite as the substrate. Wish me luck! lol :)

This is the tank before it was moved...

and this is the tank 4 days later in my basement... the tank is clear, but the water is loaded with tannins.

I have only taken one casualty, which was an SAE yesterday that decided to jump out of the tank :/

This is probably my favorite fish of the tank :p

That's some thick substrate. Why so deep?
I added way too much dirt :$ I ended up tearing it down and re-dirting it properly, and now it's fine
I figured it would compact quickly... it didn't obviously, and just built up hydrogen sulphide gas bubbles like there was no tomorrow
That's good to hear.
