Dirt Flourite Mixed?

Im getting a new tank soon and definatley planting it, However i want to kind of lean away from dirt, or add less, can i cap like 1/2 an inch of dirt with like a 1/2 inch of flourite the gravel or sand? thinking Gravel, pea sized for sure.

Yes!! Topping needs to be 3ml. Test what you have in a bowl to see if it holds down the dirt.

Ok still relatively confused with what you mean by 3ml?

I think he means 3 inches? I know 3 inches of substrate is very nice :)! So 2 inches of dirt, 1 inch of flourite capping.
