Hello. I was planning on using some 13 and 23 watt CFLs in clamp-lamps and I was having a hard time finding some 6500K bulbs in my area. The closest Lowe's doesn't have them in stock and the nearby Home Depot only has 5000K Daylight CFLs. I was wondering how much of a difference there would be in color temperature and appearance between 5000K CFLs and 6500K CFLs. Thanks.

The difference depends a lot on the manufacturer of the bulbs, but the 5000K bulbs will very likely give you a more yellow light. The plants will very likely do as well with either one, but the 5000K should bring out the red coloring of reddish plants and fish more than the 6500K bulb does.
