Anyone have success with this in a no-pressurized-CO2 setup? I'm thinking about planting it in my 38-gallon with low-medium lighting and Excel, with hopes of getting a big bunch to grow in the back of the tank.

It would replace my L. arcuata bunch, which is doing alright, but it's getting a little long in the tooth and it's a little too messy looking for my tastes.

No experience personally but most people say it's one of the more finnicky plants and needs the CO2. Will need someone who's had it to confirm thought. You could probably grow Rotala rotundifolia to a similar effect.

Agreed rotala rotundifolia it's much easier to grow. Low tech tank, you will be much happier.

I am growing this in a non-C02 tank, and I have to trim it every week. I have it planted in a bit of substrate crammed into a nook in my driftwood. It doesn't really turn pink like it would with C02, but it's pretty happy nonetheless. I also tossed a handful of trimmings in a non-filtered grow out tank and it is growing there as well. I do have relatively high light (but with lots of floaters), and I dose Excel and ferts on average about once a week.
