So today I realized that my anubias were not growing new leaves, my sagitaria are green at the top but semi transparent at the crown, amazon sword leaves were eaten, I watched a few videos and they said if you leave bad leaves on the plants the others won't grow and will die not fill out, so I went through and cut all the bad half eaten leaves off my anubias, one was so bad it only has 3 leaves left on it pretty much a rhizome, I didn't really mess with the sagitaria much as I didn't know if that's how they are supposed to look, just cut the really long 4-5" leaves off at the base, and a few ones that were discolored, and with the amazons I had a lot of bad leaves that were eaten off, my tank doesn't look as full now but I know from basic plant knowledge that the plant will still try to feed the dead leaves and will die /not promote new growth, I do not have the money for co2 and I don't have the knowledge I would end up killing my fish which leads to my next question, I added a root tab by the sagitaria which makes a total of 7 tabs total in a 55 gallon, 3 tabs for the amazons (3 plants 1 per) 2 for my red Flame, and now 2 for my sagitaria, also is the sagitaria like the amazon where the crown should be exposed or should it be buried Ty in advance, I dose excel 2x weekly and flourish 1x weekly, will all these ferts kill my fish (tabs specifically)
By trimming so much could I of shocked the plant and cause it to die
