After doing some more research, I figured out that the Diamond Black product I was originally looking at is definitely a liquid.

But I can't find any granular diamond black anywhere online. Has anyone had luck finding any? All I was able to find was a pdf of the label for the granular version.

http://bloomhydro.com/supplements.htm has the "diamond black" that I tried several years ago. It is in the same squared off container that mine came in. But, I don't think this is where I bought it. As I recall I found it on Ebay.

In case anybody else has the same question--I contacted the manufacturer and they have indeed discontinued the granular form of diamond black.

From what is sounds like, the liquid form heavily stains tank water.

I couldn't find any other granular leonardite in less than 50 lb bags, so I'm going with a thin layer of peat beneath the eco-complete.
