i have massimo moss balls in my tank with alot of other stuff but i dont know if its growing or is some type of hair algae growing on it please help?

aren't those moss balls technically algae balls? i read somewhere (maybe im mistaken) that they aren't real moss?

Moss balls aren't really moss,they are algae, a clado to be more specific. Is your ball just getting really fuzzy or just has a few filaments coming off it?

Mine grow in size over time but I never actually see anything growing on them. Have you tried rinsing them?
