Hello. I had a bearded dragon a few years ago, and had a large amount of creek stones, plus some driftwood in his cage. The items have been in storage for years, and I was wondering if there was someway of disinfecting these things to use in my aquariums?? I usually boil the stones I gather, and they have been fine, but I dont want to put my fish/plants in danger by adding something that could kill them. Thanks.....stones AND driftwood I have in question....and I hope this is this right section for asking this

Boil them. Should be fine afterwards.

maybe give them a scrub after soaking for a bit, just to knock off any stuff that may be on the surface.

aside from preparation, depending on what minerals are in the stones, there is a chance they could affect hardness and pH. depends on the stone, and how often/much water you change
