DC fluid indicator

OK, I've got my 4 KH solution, made a DC out of air tubing, added 3 drops of pH indicator per 5 ml as if I were doing a pH test in a tube. Now I can barely see the indicator fluid. Did I do something wrong? Can I add more pH indicator solution to make the results more obvious or will that change the results? Is this a common problem or again, did I do something wrong. The pH indicator solution I used is from my API test set.

Add more PH idicator till you see more color, Unless there is a Leak or your dropchecker is Damage, Your Fluid shouldnt not turn clear

Thanks! When mixing the solution, is there a rule of thumb, number of drops per 5ml of solution?

Best I can tell--its just personal preference. Add drops until its easy for You to see what the color is in your particular DC. That's how I do it and I've never come across any type of "standard".....:thumbsup:

I mix 20 drops to 1/2 oz 4kh
