Before getting too far, let me acknowledge that having separate grow out tanks would be best.

But assuming I have limited space, has anyone ever cultured daphnia and moina in the same tank?

I have an existing culture of daphnia but would like to move to moina instead (smaller size food). I don't want to toss the daphnia and start over with moina, so if I just add moina to my current tank will both survive?

Maybe I can get the best of both food sources?

Anyone with experience in this ? Thanks

That should work fine. I had a daphnia culture with a lot of other microorganisms that all did fine. Moina have the same care as Daphnia, I believe, and they behave similarly. Neither would predate on the other or harm the other in any way.

BTW, I did not specifically notice Moina in my culture, but still it should be the same.
