Cute lil whirlpool

I was doing some maintenance so i needed stream pump to lift junk from bottom. I moved pump closer to surface and got this nice whirlpool. Later ill try to make it bigger

Make it much larger and it will get low enough to pull air into the pump, ruining it in my opinion.

only way it would get into the pump is if it was upside down this can be done just from the outflow longest ive seen it is 2-3 inch unless u have a ton of gph. you can get a good idea of where your flow is when u add a dye to it like tannins or something safe.
