Hey all,
Curious as to what you guys do about cutting stem plants. Whenever I cut a stem plant, in this case Rotala, it streams tons of bubbles for a few days until the cut heals. I am guessing this is normal, but I can't believe its "good", and wondering what you guys do about this?

it's completely normal you can't do anything about it. and it doesnt hurt anyone
lot's of light + hurt plant = bubbles

Cool. Thats what I figured, but I was thinking maybe a dab of superglue or something on the cut would help stem the tide...

lol! the plant will heal itself over time. and I'm nt sure how plants will take superglue to a wound. but do try and update us on the results

Looks weird when you do a full trim on all the plants .... I call it "poor mans pearling"

LOL, my fishies sometimes like to try and eat the bubbles. Me thinks they aren't too smart :hihi:

I might try the superglue next time. It is just a fizzy mess in my aquarium every time I have to trim!

I'm not sure about freshwater, but super glue in saltwater produces heat. Might cause more damage than it helps?

I find rotala and hygro readily pearl after a fresh trim under co2 and high light.
