Is this safe for aquarium plants and fish? May be a stupid question but I always have this stuff laying around from buying flowers for my wife and want to put it to use.

To the best of my knowledge, most contain a disinfectant if not outright crystallized bleach to prevent odor-causing bacteria. I would not put it in an aquarium. Their purpose is more to preserve the flowers than nourish a plant.

I don't think so, a quick search shows it contains citric acid, sucrose and sodium hypochlorite.

Why not return the packets to the florist?
