I expanded the Cuphae which if you allow it a lot of light and to grow up taller, then trim, looks like mini Rotala sunset.
But it's much better than R sunset for scaping(much better behavior).

When I 1st grew both species, I never thought I'd say that.
I place the Cuphae where I'd had the Rotala sunset in the last hardscape in this tank about a year or two ago now. I just trimmed it, so it's looking real nice colorwise.

I noticed as well that they looked very similar. I also like how Cuphea is a cheaper plant and easier to find 90% of the time. And a little hardier in my limited experience (I bought sunset once, melted into nothingness very quickly for me)

Hi Tom

really like the orange pink color of your Cuphea, How do you keep them Orange pink, instead the normal Orange yellow color, Is it the light? or certain dosing do you?

Also, what is the name of the yellow green umbrella shaped plant just behind the cuphea on the left?
