Cull now or wait?

I have one BV male that is totally clear, not the slightest hint of blue. I'm wondering if I should cull him now or give him more time to color up because he is a juvie.

I would wait a little longer, I have BV that were all clear then colored up as it got older.
I started with 4 and have over 30 now.
Wait until gender is clearly defined before culling

He's definitely a he. They're all juvies but they're old enough to be easily sexed. And mate.

I'd definitely wait. One of mine looked green until one day he was suddenly bright blue. I had him in another tank (a test to see if my dwarf puffer would eat them) so I know it was the same one. If you're worried about him mating until you know for sure, you could just seperate him with a breeder box or put him in a different tank.
If you have a bunch others then why risk the one.
Not sure if I would cull a shrimp I just bought until some babies start popping out and the colony gets a foothold
I have 22 right now. I've found two, possibly three berried females and have another one stuffed with eggs that I'm hoping will berry after her next molt. I have no other tank for him because I keep RCS in my 20g (I'd never find him again amongst the many wild-types I have) and he'd be an instant yummy snack in my other two tanks.

The more I look at him, the more I'm wondering if he's actually a BV. He's got a yellowish tint to him. Not like a yellow neo, just a hint of yellow. So I PMed Speedie to ask if he shrimp could be something else and I'm waiting on a response.
