Crystal Reef - Pass Road, Gulfport, MS

A small LFS with a mediocre array of tropical fish and plants. Saltwater selection is ok and fish health is excellent. Owner doesn't seem to be interested in carrying on aquatic discussions.

You just have to get to know Bill. Sometimes I waste a whole afternoon talking with him. His selection is starting to improve since he moved th the new store.

See that's just the kind of shop I figured Crystal Reef to be. But I've tried talking to the guy a few times and he seemed to be short with me.

Or are you talking about the Crystal Reef up in Hattiesburg? Because that guy is definitely friendly! He won't let you walk out of the store with chatting you up for at least a few minutes.

Yeah, I figured that when you mentioned him moving to a new location. The Gulfport store has been same-old, same-old for a very long time!
