x2. It's a beautiful plant. I have mine growing in high light and it doesn't have the pink veins. Low light and limited nitrates seem to make the vein color pop.

Actually cooling water makes the colors pop.
I tested this.

Slows the rates of growth down, perhaps like limiting light and N.

For your reference, first photo was taken around 2 months back in the summer. Theyre sitting under 4x65 watt pc bulbs. EI at full blast with pressurized co2. Space between the water level and fixture is about 6 inches. Water temperature? I'm guessing its in the mid to high 80s.

Second photo was taken few hours ago. light and npk dosing trimmed in half. 2 65w pc bulbs and 1/2 of EI dosing. Trace and pressurized co2 remained constant. temperature feels like < 75f.

Really? Now that's interesting. I'm going to have to try that out.

I am glad the ferns look so happy! They are even better in a co2 tank with fertilizers! If you had this deal next week, I would totally buy one. Sucks being broke. The crypt parvas you sent me are not melting and are actually growing beautifully. You broke my crypt curse. :hihi:

$30 is a great deal.
