Kept in mind the depth of you tank. Crypt Wendtii will spread forward from the background as it colonizes the tank. It can happen rather quickly in a tank that is 12".

The nice this is you can influence Crypt size/growth with light. Also culling baby plants will help keep in in check.

depends on the size of the tank and what kind of substrate you have. i have noticed that my dwarf sag tends to stay shorter in gravel than it does in sand not sure y. this is my 29 and the tall plant in the back is ole red ( red crypt i think that is how you spell it) and dwarf sag in the middle
