Has anyone or is it even possible to use osmocote indoor outdoor as a dry fertilizer if its crushed? I know that osmocote can be used as a root fert but how about for the water column?

Sounds like an inefficient, dirty way to dose the water column. The shells, ie membrane, never go away. So you'll have a dusty of it on the bottom.

Urea in the water column is NOT bad, it is the levels you might get using osmocote that are the problem.

If you think it is bad.... the users of pFertz and RootMedic might disagree with you. They've been using it for years.
