I added three crs about three weeks ago to my 10 gal planted tank, and they have since turned brown. Does anyone know about this?

Your ph is kinda high but with less than perfect parameters the shrimp will show stress. Do you mean brown like the white parts are not solid anymore and more of a tan color? Can you take a pic?
Sorry can't really do pics right now. The whole shrimp has turned brown there is no red to be seen. Verry strange.
Mabe I just got really low grade shrimp! Lol.
I've read about shrimp color changing depending on substrate color, but I don't know specifics, or time period. Possible?
Were they clearly red upon arrival? If so, it could possibly be the color temperature of your lighting.

It's more likely that you purchased "brownie" crs, which is a mutation that occasionally occurs when cbs with a brown gene are crossed with crs.
Is the brown colouration due to a mutation? I thought that was the natural colour of the WT RCS.
