There was a thread about this tank, but dont know where, anyways like i said before it looks ugly lol, how do you change water?
Yes- but HOW to pump out the excess air? Especially with an airstone constantly putting more bubbles up there....it's simple, really. the top is sealed and excess air kept pumped out.
this allow the water volume to replace air volume you'd expect to see.
the higher you go, the stronger the pump must be. if the pump goes
off, the water will stay up as long as you don't keep pumping new
air from below to displace the water already in the column. that blue
box is a self contained pond pump/filter that's doing all the suction.
You got it Spynet, the mechanics are so simple. A shared electric supply for the aerator and pump and no trouble at all.it's really no different than sucking on a straw.
if you stop sucking but put your finger over the
top end, the liquid will stay in the straw unless
you release your finger or lift the straw high
enough for air to get in from the bottom, so
obviously whenever the water pump is off,
the airstone gets turned off as well.
