crayfish

I have a 10gallon cycling right now. My son wants a crayfish . what is recommended for this size tank. I never kept these before, Just ate them..

There are also blue dwarf crayfish.


If you want something more "colorful", consider on of the Neocaridina davidi colors?


Whatever species you end up with, make sure you have the proper parameters for the species. GH and KH can play an important roll in how well they survive in your tank.
Marmokrebs maybe? Do note they are self fertilizing hemaphrodites, and you will quickly have more of them even if you start with one (side note...many areas ban these crays for exactly that reason, check your laws first!)
You could kerp any common crayfish by itself. I would only recommend the orange dwarf ones if keeping with fish or plants.
