So I have a 5 gallon rimmed topfin aquarium that now has a crack near the top of the rim. Recently I got a Fluval nano light and I was super excited to try it out. Should have paid attention to the package since the light is meant for rimless tanks. I looked up some DIY methods to remove the rim which at first worked out great! However as soon as I set up the light, the glass near where I removed the rim cracked. Can it be fixed or should I just start looking into getting a replacement tank?

Replacement tank. It is not worth the risk.

If it were my tank... I'd ignore it. This crack looks like you tightened the light too much between the outside rim and the glass. The crack does not appear to me to be going down below the water line. /shrug its your tank and up to you but if it were me I don't sweat a crack above the waterline and not in a corner.
