Quick question, I noticed today that my Corey Catfish is missing its barbels on the one side. Should I be concerned about this? Will they grow back?

Could be due to poor water quality or rough substrate, or both.

I don't think they grow back, but I could be wrong.

I use sand with mine because I read rough substrate can wear them down but I've been reading more recently that poor water quality is the actual culprit. Weird yours is just worn down on one side though. What are your water parameters and your current substrate so we have more to go off of?
