I checked Neptune out. Nice range of fish BUT I am not on board with this strange practice of we won't tell you how much shipping is until after you've bought AND paid for the fish plus tax? THEN we will TELL you how much we will charge you to get that which you have already paid for? I didn't even bother to research what fees one might incur for canceling a paid order if the shipping turned out to be outrageous.
To me this sort of an arrangement is, while legal as terms are clearly defined, completely unacceptable.
I couldn't do business under the terms outlined.
Nice fish though.

Ended up buying from Bob's plants or something near that.
Fast ship only lost one in transit and upfront pricing / shipping structure.
Pleasant experience including tracking.
Nice pygmy Cory cats.

No, but I was aware of that policy for the slower cheaper shipping I chose.
Therefore I did not ask as that was my risk to save money Also why I ordered 2 more then I really needed just in case.
I have ordered from him before with the faster shipping and he did per policy refund a doa I had at that time.
So for 3 various orders over the years I have been satisfied with the way they do business and quality of their live goods.
Plus they seem to carry some harder to get (esp locally) species for fair prices unlike some specialty houses that IMHO overcharge for both product and shipping as well.
I will note they ship in standard bags not in breather bags however.
