Hi all,

I have a CoralLife 2x96 Watt fixture. I find it silly that the fans only turn on with one of the bulbs, not with the other. I wanted to have a photo period with 1 light on, then both, then 1 light. Now the only way I can do this is to have the same 1 light running the whole time - the light that controls the fan.

Is this not silly? Have others figured a better way of accomplishing this??

I'm willing to bet it doesn't get very hot with only one bulb on. My coralife and JBJ unit are both the same way. I completely removed the fans on the JBJ and only use one bulb.

Ill check and see when I get home. I know that it gets real hot, real fast with both bulbs and the fans going.

My two Current fixtures' fans operate only when the front bulb is on.

I didn't know that. It's good to know for future reference though. I'm planning on upgrading my Coralife fixture to 4X65W, but I may rethink this now.

If I'm not mistaken; Coralife's 4x65w fixtures have two intakes for the two fans and two exhausts which are on top of the fixture.
