Coralife Parts needed

I picked up a used coralife 12" unit (twin bulb unit). It looks great, but it zapped out one of the bulbs upon turning it on. The other bulb seemed fine, so i figured the other one just died. I switched bulbs in the unit and it fried that one too.

Should both ballasts, etc be changed?

Can I repair this or should I just chalk it up to the parts bin?

should be able to order a replacement ballast from ESU. You might just crack the thing open to check if there might be a short.

I have found coralife ballasts suck.

What do you do about them? Do you replace them (with different brands) or do you simply live with it?
