Confused and heart broken

Went to visit a friend a few days ago and was angry to see what they did. At one time their tank was beautiful, so I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked for the tank. :eek5: 10 gallon 3/4 full sitting inside the once beautiful 30 gallon, inside the tank was a 4" angel ,a few neons ,cory cats I think I saw 2 and a loach. When I asked what happened their reply "got tired of the tank so we are just waiting for the fish to die.":angryfire :frown: I looked at my hubby with my please can I have them look he shook his head and said where you going to put it? OH if I had the room but my tanks are full and I have no place for it.
Sorry but I had to vent to someone who would understand.

Ug. So sad. Maybe you can offer to take them to a pet shop?

The LFS around here are jerks ,they did ask the stores if they would take the fish the stores refused them. Our LFS will sell you anything you want (ie: fish combos that kill each other) if your new and figure it out ,try and take back the aggressive fish they just laugh at you.
I think I'm going to take the 30 gal. and fishes (don't tell my hubby:hihi: )set it up in my 12 year olds room no plants as I can't afford more hydro here.

A long time ago i remember reading a post here about the most ethical way of killing fish. No that Im recommending that option but it just popped into my head when i read your post. Maybe put them in the swap and shop and see if anyone local wants them.

I believe if you look at the CAOAC site they have some people on there that run a fish rescue program for cases just like this.

Thanks but I'm going to get the 30 gallon equipment and fish tonight. It's free so the price is right and my son is looking forward to a tank in his room.
