Completely Jammed Glass Diffuser

I bought a diffuser off of ebay. One that I have seen in many images on this forum. But the thing is completely jammed. I can't even blow air through the ceramic disk. If I hold it upside down and blow water will come out.

I've tried boiling, bleach, and even just hooking up my system. But this little thing won't budge. Not looking to create a grenade in my apartment. :)

If you can blow through the diffuser like an airstone, it's broken.
The water is probably from the boiling, and soaking after bleach
It doesn't work at all? Have you hooked it up to CO2 yet?

Are you using DIY yeast bottles? If so they may not generate enough pressure for the CO2 to make it's way through the ceramic disc. If you are using a pressurized system you may want to open up the needle valve to force some gas through the disc.
Glass difusers can be finicky. It helps if the unit is filled with water when you hook it up. It starts the flow better, IMO. Just hook it up to a pressurized unit and wait. The pressure gauge will go up until it reaches a terminal pressure, then when it starts to diffuse, it will go down again.

It can take a few minutes, so don't worry.
Thanks for the post guys. Ive been soaking it in a mixtures of bleach and water all weekend.

I'm about to do a test by hooking it up to my system and then placing into a container that can absorb the explosion if it where to happen. I feel like my lines would probably go out first. But better safe then sorry.

I'll let you know how it goes.
