Hello i have a 36 gallon tank currently with no fish in it. It has a aqueon quietflow led 75 with a 150w heater and a fluval SEA cp2 circulation pump.
Tank dimensions: 30 x 15 x 21
I am thinking since my tank is fairly tall, i would get two angelfish probally DD angelfish. Im also thinking of getting a bristlenose pleco for the bottom of the tank, 8 to nine barbs( cherry barbs, gold barbs, or black rubby barbs). What are some fish/reccommendations you would add to this list or make your own list of fish i could get. There is a picture of my fish tank i will be adding plants later on but havent decided what i want for that yet.

You could probably do the plecos if you set the temp to 27C (75?) Then the water is at the top end of the natural range for the pleco and the bottom for the angels. Please not the pleco can live for 20 years, so it is a big commitment.

Barbs can be a gamble with angels. They may go for the long fins.

Yeah im aware and my temperature will be somewhere around there. As long as its consistently close to there i will be okay. And with the barbs thats why i am leaning more towards cherry barbs because they arent as nippy but i will still have to proceed it with caution and if i see nipping i will separate them. Any other fish you would recommend ?

Depends...which barbs? Can't imagine a good school of cherries going after angelfish fins (though then again...would cherry barbs be eaten?) There's definitely barbs out there that aren't fanatical fin nippers.
I don't know hey. I'm getting over community tanks. Everybody has one. And when you look at it, no one fish type displays optimally. Too many distractions.
A decent species only tank draws much more close attention to its inhabitants.
Of course, this is personal opinion.
