Sorry to those of you that may have pm'd me over the months without answer. I'm on again off again on this site so I forget to check on occasion. I'm rearranging one of my rooms and have decided to break down one of my tanks. It has fallen victim to much neglect and the plants have withered.

if someone wants to toss $10 my way all the plants are yours. There are about 10-15 stems of ludwigia repens at about 8" per stem, and some tiny crypts that just won't flourish.

I'd like to break the tank down very soon so let me know

Please note...not interested in shipping, and you'll have to come pick them up from me. I'm very busy and if it comes to traveling or fussing with the post office, I'd rather just toss them and forget about it. Just hate for them to go to waste. Will likely contain Malaysian trumpet snails. I'm located in south college station near the new heb. Let me know if any of you locals are interested within the next couple days!

Lol sorry bud. Gotta check the Texas threads on the regular. At some point I'll be tearing down another one of my planted tanks in the future and will have a bunch of moss available for trade. Pretty much as soon as I can find some mineralized topsoil additives without having them shipped, I'm gonna be redoing one of my tanks and getting rid of much of the livestock and plants in the process

Aaron offered to ship some to me, but I would rather not have that come in the mail so I'm still looking!

I have a 25 gal deep that has kept me busy for the last ten years.

My fluorescent hood finally gave out an I went a few weeks without lights putting together an led diy setup. I have had lots of trouble getting back to a balanced setup with the new light. But I think it's finally ready to stop throwing in random plants and design something special. I just did not know what I could keep with the new light.

What do you have going on?

Awesome. I would love to have LEDs over my tanks. Just can't afford the up front cost and I am useless with a soldering iron lol.

I've had many tanks over the years starting from Betta bowls all the way to my current setups. Right now I've got a 75 gallon planted tank with mineralized topsoil. Don't use co2 or any additional ferts. Growth is pretty good. Algae is eh. Not algae free but its manageable. Lighting is probably a little strong for my lack of co2. It's pretty newly planted, maybe a month or so.

I also have a 55 gallon reef tank that is about a year old and is a fairly even mix of sps, lps, and soft corals.

I'll post a couple pics on this thread later tonight

Here's a pic of the planted tank. It's still kind of recovering from planting. The crypts and jungle Val, amazon sword, and wisteria all melted shortly after planting but are all starting to recover. I predict in a couple months when the roots have had a chance to really make it to the dirt at the bottom, and the turface settles, the growth will really take off. I hope so anyway! The ludwigia repens was the first to do that and is growing great. Amazon sword has out up 5 or so real fat leaves so I know they're trying.

that is a great tank bpb. I have dw which has been leaching tannins for about a year but it is in a betta tank so he is right at home with slightly less than clear water. ;)

I have a planted 36g bowfront with gravel I am thinking of switching to sand.

What kind of sand are you thinking about using? I actually just removed my sandbed in my tank. The filters are very mature but since I swapped the substrate with all brand new stuff I'm going through all the new tank issues. Diatoms for days! My Siamese algae eaters, lone oto, and ramshorn snails are all thrilled though and are voraciously munching away 24/7.

Nice tank. For some reason I can't make the pic bigger. I only have an ipad so some things I just can't do. What kind of image is it.

It you ever want to split the shipping from aquariumplants.com or something let me know. I'm in the planning stages now.

It's just an iPhone pic. Whatever kind those are. I'll let you know if I want to do an order. What sort of planning are you doing? Just more plants, or a new tank, or what? I'd definitely like to try something different in my tank that I haven't done before but I'm not a master of plant species knowledge so I'm not sure what would grow and what wouldn't.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I want to redo my current tank with a scape of some sort. Something with color and all new plants. I've seen some neat looking tree scapes.

But I like the rock themes as well.

I'm going to start off with some flora max black substrate to cover up the fluorite I have now.
Hopefully I can figure out what I want after I see what it looks like with black substrate.
