Yes, I have a 20lb CO2 bottle to run the calcium reactor (calcium based sand in low pH water = dissolved calcium and alk which corals eat up). Into the tank? No way, you're trying to maintain a pH of 8.0-8.2i was just wondering do they use co2 in salt water tanks.???
Generally, no. You hardly ever have a high-pH problem unless your kalk drip has gone crazy (and then calcium carbonate simply falls out of solution and makes really expensive sand). If memory serves me correct, they also use it to regulate PH in saltwater.
