CO2 "snot" safe for goldfish??

Hi All, I plan on putting a DIY co2 on my tank with gold fish. On my tank with just plants I currently have a DIY co2 and its going great however I do get some co2 "snot" on the end of the bubble tube.

Would this "snot" (I assume its yeast) harm goldfish if they ate it? my goldfish seems to want to eat anything/everything.

How big is this tank? I wouldn't bother with a diy co2 to a tank bigger than 29G.
The slime should be just yeast and or microbes eating on the yeast so it should be harmless.
Do you have a catch bottle? A secondary bottle that the yeast reactor tubes into, and any "snot" will drop into it. A second tube comes from that bottle to the tank.

Sorry, I don't know the answer to the health question.
I do not have a catch bottle, I only have the little hagen reactor. Its been going strong for a few months now. I will setup a catch bottle thou to collect the snot thats an excellent idea thank you!!!!.

The main fish tank is 75g, I didn't want to get into the whole co2 bottles, regulators etc on the main tank due to cost and I worry about putting too much co2 into the water and killing my gold fishies!
diy on that big of a tank will be more headache than any worth that you get out of it. Don't the goldies eat your plants anyway?
Yes and No, what I have right now is a 10gal tank that I grow quick growing plants in (like Anacharis and Water Wisteria) and move them into the main tank for the gold fish to snack on.

Then I have my "keeper" plants like my amazon swords and the like in the main tank.

The gold fishies love the anacharis and water whisteria so they are always going for them first.

In addition to that, I also have zuccuini in the main tank banded onto a rock so that when they run out of the cheaper plants to eat they go for the zuccini.

They are fat little piggies.

I just want to make sure that my plants in my main tank keep growing.
Eventually, you'll need to move the goldfish to a bigger tank. As you know they eat soft plants as well so it's not ideal either.

Yeah, don't bother with DIY CO2 here. It's too much work and won't provide enough CO2.

My goldies only pick on my Hornwort. I have 8 fancy goldies in two heavy planted tanks and yes they are pigs.
@mistergreen, I dont have any goldfish in my "restocking" 10g tank, just plants :) I wouldn't subject my fatties to a small house. I only have 6 goldies in my 75g

@barbarossa, I wish that my goldfish would only eat one type of plant, I have tried alot of plants and they eat everything. Even jungle val which I have had to take out of their mouth a few times. Nothing as silly as seeing a goldfish trying to eat an entire length of jungle val.

I guess I will give up on the idea of DIY co2 on the main tank, this might be more for the plant forum, but any advice on what I should do to keep the plants alive in the main 75g tank? Right now im just using root tabs (1 or 2 per sword), macro and micro solutions 4 times a week.

I figured that the plants weren't growing because of a lack of co2 since in my small plant tank im doing pretty much the same thing just with the addition of co2 and the plants are going crazy in that tank.

Only 3 of my glodies like to pull and eat the Hornwort. Don't know why but the other 5 are good "kids".
