wow nice! i just wanted to make sure since it was an international seller.

now if only i can find out which diffuser is best.
btw do i see Tonina Belem in there? i have 2 stems and they are the hardest so far to grow. i hope with a better co2 system i can pull it off.
Yeah I'm about to upgrade my CO2 and I'm trying to find out which ferts are CRS and RCS safe b4 i use them.

thanks man
Well today I got some of my glassware from them and I put in my co2 drop checker. But it didn't have any directions so I did what I people wrote before. 3 drops, 2/3 tap water and place in tank.

But then it instatally turned green. I didn't even put in my co2 system yet. Is this how it worked for u when u got it from them?

What did I do wrong?

You used tap water. You need specially made 4 dKH water.
Dam. People were telling me to use tap water.

One more question, can I use distilled water instead? Or where can I find 4 dkh water?

I have no access to my lab for this month.
4Dkh water is distilled water mixed with a exact perfect amount of baking soda to bump up the KH. So its basically water. that has the Carbon hardness of 4dkh. You can buy the water certified or make your own with a KH tester
dr. tran,

Is the tank that you are going to get the 130W Coralife fixture for?

kH tester? What??

Just do some simple math and mix up baking soda with RODI water. :p
baking soda? ok i will try to find the right forumla.

and yes biscuitslayer, this is the tank with the 130W light. Its a lunar delux with 6700K lights right now. im really hopeing it works out.

yeah, i didn't know there was a kH tester. I should have grabed some from school when I had the chance.

well i'm going to search for the forumal and try it.

I really hope you have success with the DIY CO2. I tried it and failed miserably with that amount of light, but I wasn't dilligent about it and I don't think I had a big enough DIY setup. For my setup, anything less than 3bps causes algae problems for me on an 8 hour photoperiod. I am going to add you as a buddy so I can (hopefully) track your progress on this one. Good luck!
Hey thanks man. For years I never had an algae problem until my 29 gal tank. I even only used one light for weeks and it still had some algae. I thought my ottos would eat it up but not really.

Sadly I'm losing the battle of DIY co2. Heres my setup so far. http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/diy/56956-diy-co2-wine.html

I'm going to try and find a way to fix this. but first, i gotta make me some 4dkh water!
