co2 regulator recommendations needed!

I'm looking for a regulator that is capable of running at a steady 1 bubble per second. I will be running the regulator on a paintball tank. I am fully aware that an adapter may needed. please leave a link below and share your experiences with the product!

What type of diffuser are you using? I've got a GLA Atomic regulator. They're kinda pricey compared to some others out there like Aquatek, but they're excellet. I highly recommend. They make one that fits on a paintball tank, but you can also get an adapter somewhere else and use it with that in case you plan to upgrade to a larger CO2 tank in the future. I used an Aquatek regulator for a while and it did a decent job, but I'm thrilled with the performance of my GLA regulator.

why did you change from aquatek to GLA?

I changed from a Hagen diffusion ladder to a GLA atomic diffuser because the diffusion ladder just couldn't add enough CO2 for my larger tank (30gal) and the working pressure on the Aquatek was just barely enough for the atomic regulator to function (requires at least 30psi). I wanted to add a bubble counter so I could more easily tell how much CO2 I was adding, but when I added the bubble counter, it was enough extra resistance that the diffuser couldn't function properly anymore, aka not enough bubbles.

ok, thanks for postig! but DANG those GLA regulators are too expensive for me

the fluval 88g ceramic diff users aren't too too bad actually.. I have one in my 9G aquastyle and another in my 25Gallon and works great in both. Just make sure the bubbles get swirled around as much as possible and you'll have a higher chance of dissolving them. As for a regulator, I personally find building one yourself to be cheaper and better. Otherwise i have heard good things about the aquamedic ones.
