co2 glass diffusor issue

I am having issues with two different glass diffusors i bought on eBay. They are small, about .5 to 1" in diameter, and were advertised to work with diy 2 l setups. When i hook up the glass diffusor, nothing happens even after a long time. I take off the tubing and theres a lot of built up gas in the bottle. It seems my system isnt getting enough pressure to make the diffusors bubble? I use a limewood airstone and it works fine. Just wondering if maybe im doing something wrong. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like its plugged up or something. Can you get any air thru it? Blow thru it and see it it gets thru. Try running a piece of wire in it.
Glass diffusors take a lot more pressure to work then limewood diffusors. My guess is that your assumtion of not enough pressure is correct.

How long is a long time? Depending on the DIY recipe you followed it may take hours (up to 10-12) to start working. I've only had that happen once but it happened. Maybe its the CO2 batch?

should it take 10-12 hours to build up pressure for the diffusor, or to start producing co2? The 2 liter was set up for days already and I switched to the glass diffusor and it didnt work.

Try disconnecting the tubing from your CO2 bottle and connect an air pump to it to "blow out the diffuser". Be careful though, too much air pressure and you can blow the diffuser up, been there, done that! I find it takes more pressure to blow the water out of the tubing/diffuser than the CO2 pressure needed to sustain a flow......DC
