Hi,

In addition to the 20 G tank I'm starting up, I also have a 2.5 g tank for which I plant to have a betta. This one has be up for about 2 months (1 month with a cartridge and one month when I decided to take it out) and have several plants such as wisteria and java fern in it. Would it be possible to set up a CO2 unit for a tank this small or would that be overdoing it?

Agreed. Unless the tanks are near enough to each other to easily split off of on regulator you are better off just going with excel.

Thank you. I managed to find it at the LFS as neither Petco nor Petsmart carriy it. Also, I found a GH/KH test kit that wasn't a test strip type for my 20 gallon.
