Co2 diffusor

So I'm off budget this month and can't afford to build a cerges reactor for a few weeks.

My ceramic diffusor is misting Co2 well but it is also letting large bubbles escape from the edges of the disc.

I was thinking about the little blue ball on the end of my emergency air pump. I remember it misting well. Is there anything wrong with using one of those temporarily or will it not do much to help? ie; using the ball as a diffusor on my co2 line
