Co2 Diffusor placement

I'm using two nano diffusors and DIY Co2 in my 20 gallon.

Question is, what is the best placement for the diffusors:

(I have a HOB filter)

1. Directly by the filter intake

2. Directly by the outlet flow, or near the path

3. In the opposite end of the tank furthest from the filter

4. One in each corner

hi ya Baked!

If it were me, I would use just one and put it at the opposite end of the tank since you have a HOB filter...You might have to crank it a lil more cause the HOB will tend to outgas it a little.

with diy co2 it can be challenging to use ceramic diffusers. Most likely you will have to find another solution.

but i read some forum said tat some successful in using diy co2....
some not all. The pressures that a DIY co2 creats isnt that much. It wasnt even enough to open my clippard check valve. Find another method

I read a forum that said I could put a pacu in a 2.5 gallon bowfront. It can be very difficult to get DIY and ceramic diffusers to work.
but the problem are ..even i use airpump / human power to blow directly into the nano diffuser also no bubble seem to be coming out...
the pressure need is higher??
or is it the ceramic coating havent being season yet?
If you're DIY CO2, try the hagen mini elite mod. It's 10 bucks in store, 7 bucks online. Works quite well!
As for placement... 2 would be better than one. In a down-flow would be optimum. I do not think that near the intake would be good. In an HOB the CO2 would get chopped up by the impeller, but then has to pass through the media to return to the tank. Often HOBs send the water horizontally across the surface, too.
If the outlet from the HOB has some downward action that would be ideal. Otherwise the intake of a power head would be good. Aim the power head across the tank and somewhat downward.

Watch something like fish food swirl around to get a better feel for how the water moves around the tank.
