CO2 diffusion: Lader vs OTHER?

Hey ya guys, I have a concern, My co2 levels in one of my tanks are pretty low with my DIY on a low tech setup, and it's using a bubble ladder and it is diffusing (around 1 bubble per second) but no where as much as I would like, meaning there are still about 50% of the bubble mass going to the surface. I was thinking of getting a GLA or something similar diffuser for this set up.

Any thoughts for a low tech set up?

This is what I was thinking: http://www.greenleafaquariums.com/co2-diffusers/co2-diffuser-2000.html

I'd go with the ones from GLA. They're effective, aesthetically pleasing, and way more affordable. Hell, buy two or three incase you drop one or something and it's still a little less than the ones from Do! Aqua.
My only concern is if your DIY mix will build enough pressure to push through the ceramic diffuser, cause if not, you might end up with a mini IED in you're room!

That is a good point. I'll have to ask the plant guy tomorrow how much pressure i would need, or maybe just run a t-line with a pressure control from my 10lb tank. Though I like the whole low tech thing right now, it's simple and a nice little project. ;p
