I am thinking about buying a rimless tank, something like ada 60P (the one GLA sells, it's 18g) and would like to know what size co2 tank would fit best to it. My 20lbs last about 6 months in my 75g so I would like something that would last thesame time on my 18g so I could fill those two at the same time. I'm shooting at 3-4bps for the small tank.Any suggestions?

I thought about that, but the tanks will be on an opposite side of the room, and that would involve a lot of tubing, at least 15'

Consider this. Since you want to add another CO2 tank. As would I. You will probably not need as many BBS as your 75. Get a 10LB tank and it should last about as long as the tank on your 75 @ 1/2 the BBS as on your 75. I have had a 10LB tank on my 15 for almost 2 years and I just replaced it today.

Thanks for suggestion. I thought about it and this http://www.marinedepot.com/JBJ_Mani..._Aquariums-JBJ_Lighting-JB2113-FICOMN-vi.html seems to be a good choice. The big question is will 15-20ft of tubing be OK with this setup. Will I notice any loss of co2 if I use polyurethane tubing?

i have no idea about the CO2 lose due to the tubing. but i do have that manifold my-self and i like it.

Wouldn't it be difficult to adjust the optimum bps on two tanks if one had say, 3 feet of tubing and the other had 15 feet of tubing?

it would just take longer for the pressure to build in the one with 15' but you would have 2 bubble counters one for each tank

Yes, I would have separate needle valve and bubble counter for each tank.

the nice thing about that manifold you linked to is that if you get a JBJ bubble counter it can screw right on to the needle valve

Are the needle valves on that manifold of sufficient quality for our use? They kind of remind me of clippard needlevalves.
