I have a Rhinox 2000 glass diffuser on my pressurized co2. I get a lot of bubbles built up at the water surface.

Does this mean I am not getting good absorption ? I have an old whisper hob overflow type filer. I had another smaller one so I added that one to help break up the bubbles.

I put the Rhinox directly under the inlet tube of the smaller filter to help with dissolving. Would the co2 be release at the surface because of the filter type?

You must not have much of a flow on the surface. I would increase the surface agitation slightly and that bubble build up will disappear and increase the o2 diffusion in the water column.
