co2 and uv before reactor?

321 1
I am currently planning on building the same reactor tom barr created (reactor from hades). Since it sits 32" tall i will be calling mine ginormous! Anyhow i think he mentioned the co2 running through a uv sterilizer before the reactor and im wondering if this would help the co2 soak into the water? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Here is the link for the curious.

The longer co2 is in contact with water the better it is dissipated into the water. So technically it wouldn't hurt since having it go through a uv would just add another step in which the co2 was in contact with the water.
