I have the exact same setup as you (planted+ and co2 on a timer for a tank near a window) but the sunlight I get is very minimal because I close the blinds. Unless the sunlight you speak of is a whole lot I'd still advise you to keep them together on a timer. At the very least, you'd want co2 turned off at night
