:help: Anyone out there who has a clippard solenoid, how hot does the body of the solenoid get? The old one never got that hot. I got the solenoid from Rex and it works perfectly other than it being hot.My milwalkee one crapped out after 2months. Maybe I'm being too paranoid!:help:

The Clippard solenoids are rated for a 60°C rise in temperature. So they can get pretty warm.

Mine gets warm but I make it a habit to learn the first time I get burnt so I haven't checked how hot it really gets at the end of the day.

I'll start worrying when it stops working or starts to show that it's about to stop working.
