Circulation with a koralia nano

I have a 46 gallon bowfront. The circulation from the spraybar is not too bad, although modest plant sway is mostly on one side of tank. I was thinking of adding more current to fully circulate CO2 from a pressurized system (that has been dispersed with an inline DIY reactor). Thinking of the reactor; it does cut my measured gph to 89.

I was looking at the nano koralias (someone asked what I wanted for xmass). For a tank this size would you choose the 240 or the 425? The inhabitants are dwarf neon rainbow (like current), hengeli rasbora (not so much), dwarf chain loach (like current), pearl gourami (not so much), L264 pleco (like current), however I was thinking more about plant health (good for all)…

Spraybars are great in cutting down flow. Have you considered changing that to a nozzle type outflow? You could have that in a lower back corner, pointing forward, and see what that does to the flow. Your Gouramis are the ones that will appreciate current the least, and since they hang out in the upper area of the tank, it should work out that way.

Otherwise, go for the smallest Koralia.
I have the 240 on a tall 41g tank and circulates the CO2 very nicely.I use it to circulate the water better at the bottom and midsection of the tank and It puts out a lot of current for the size but not too much if that makes sense.
Thanks for the responses.

May be I will play around with the outtake configuration. I think I do have a nozzle head piece somewhere (it’s like a slotted cone shape).

Yeah and, if I do the koralia, the gourmamis won’t be thrilled about this development. I’m thinking it would be going right in the middle the “territory” the male staked out, not a coincidence. I’ll have to see how room it takes up.

Thanks for that description. I think that’s the moderate flow I’m looking for.
The koralias are great at moving water for our tanks because they don't have a jet flow, it's a wider and gentler flow but a lot of water is still being moved
Take a look at the SEIO props too. Their mount swivels 180degrees and tilts so you can mount if more flush than others and direct flow along the wall.

I have on mounted deep in the tank near the base a dense planting. Its mounted as above and rotated upward so it pulls water out of the bottom of the tank at a low flow spot and sends it towards the surface. Little intrusion in the tank mounted this way.
