Noticed yesterday my chopstick jammed into the tubing of my DIY yeast/sugar co2 bottle is accumulating mold at the tip of the diffuser. Don't know how it happened as the tubing is pristine and no yeast in the tubing. How could this happen? I thought bamboo was mold resistant?

mold resistant does not mean mold proof.

I also got the white fluffy stuff. Came right off with a toothbrush and my filter took care of it.

Scrape it off. It might come back a few times, or not. It's not mold, at the least, though it's possibly some sort of fungus. I'd be more inclined to think bacteria though.

if this is a DIY co2, it creates foam, just scrape it off like jasonpatterson said, and it will be fine
