So I am not a professional acrylic cutter and in my desperation the edge has a chip.

Is there a way to "heal" this?

The product to keep it together is called "Weld-On" You get the pc are tight together as you can the apply the Weld-On with a needle dropper)plastic bottle with a needle applicator. The weld-on will use capliary action and work itself into the crack and hold it tight by basically welding the acrylic together.

There a guy on ebay from indiana I've bought the Weld-on and acrylic from....great guy.

Silicone doesn't bond long term to acrylic.

Weld on does not fill gaps though.
